Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Ascnd mobile application and related services (collectively, “Service”). By creating an account, downloading the app, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. The Service

Ascnd provides AI-powered facial harmony analysis based on self-uploaded selfies. The analysis is generated by third-party AI models and is intended for personal entertainment and self-improvement purposes only. Ascnd does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified professional for any health, dermatological, or cosmetic concerns.

2. Subscriptions and billing

Ascnd offers auto-renewing subscriptions: a weekly plan ($9.99/week) and an annual plan ($49.99/year), billed through your Apple ID account. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You may manage and cancel your subscription in your Apple ID account settings under Subscriptions.

No refund will be issued for partially used subscription periods. All fees are charged in U.S. dollars and exclude applicable taxes.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction) to use the Service. Users under 18 must have parental or guardian consent.

4. Your photo

When you upload a photo, it is sent to our AI provider for analysis and is not retained on our servers after the analysis is complete. Your photo is not used to train AI models. See our Privacy Policy for details.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to (a) upload photos of any person other than yourself without their explicit consent; (b) use the Service for harassment, targeting, or harming others; (c) attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the app or its underlying AI models; (d) violate any applicable law or regulation.

6. Intellectual property

The Service, including its branding, design, and content, is owned by Ascnd and protected by intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of any photos you upload. You grant Ascnd a limited, non-exclusive license to process those photos solely to provide the Service to you.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. AI-generated outputs may be inaccurate or incomplete. Ascnd does not guarantee that the analysis or recommendations will produce any particular result.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ascnd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid Ascnd in the twelve months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the app or by updating the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance.
