Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information Ascnd (“we”, “us”) collects, how we use it, and your choices.

1. What we collect

Photos. When you take or upload a selfie for analysis, the photo is sent to our AI provider (Google Gemini) for processing. We do not store your photo on our servers after the analysis completes, and the photo is not used to train AI models.

Onboarding answers. The answers you provide during onboarding (gender, age range, primary goal, current/dream rating, etc.) are stored locally on your device and used to personalize your AI prompt. They are not transmitted to our servers in identified form.

Anonymous identifier. We generate a random UUID stored on your device that links your subscription state with our backend. This ID is not linked to your name, email, or any personally identifying information.

Subscription data. Apple processes your purchase. RevenueCat (our subscription provider) tracks your entitlement state via the anonymous identifier above. We do not receive your Apple ID or payment details.

Advertising and analytics identifiers.If you grant App Tracking Transparency permission, we share your iOS Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) with TikTok's advertising platform to measure ad performance. You can revoke this in Settings → Privacy → Tracking at any time. We do not share your photo, onboarding answers, or analysis results with any ad provider.

2. Third-party services

• Google Gemini— AI vision provider. Processes your photo for the analysis. Subject to Google's API privacy terms; not used to train models on the paid API tier.
• RevenueCat — subscription management.
• TikTok For Business — advertising attribution (only with your ATT consent).
• Vercel — hosts our backend function and this website.

3. How we use information

• To generate your facial harmony analysis.
• To process and verify your subscription.
• To measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns (only with your consent).
• To diagnose bugs and improve the Service.

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Your choices

• Decline App Tracking Transparency to opt out of personalized ads.
• Manage or cancel your subscription via your Apple ID settings.
• Delete the app at any time to stop all data collection going forward.
• Email support@ascndaiapp.com to request deletion of any data tied to your anonymous identifier.

5. Children

Ascnd is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, contact us and we will delete it.

6. International users

Our servers are located in the United States. By using the Service, you consent to the transfer of your information to the United States.

7. Changes

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by updating the “Last updated” date above.
